Each wedding is an honor. Honestly, every single one. They're all different, each uniquely compelling and each telling various stories, but it's really a HUGE, ginormous celebratory feeling to be able to capture a longtime friend's big day.  I felt like I could really go all out and soak up every little detail, so I happily did.
Obviously it made each moment easier to capture, feeling as close to the bride I happen to be photographing as I'll probably ever be. Laisha trusting me with the moments of her day not only told me she wanted me to ring in her love and celebrate the day with her but she trusted me to savor all those sweet moments, the raw & unique. To use my eye & talent still and hone in on what her day was all about. To savor what it means to be up close & personal with a bride on her day.
For Laisha, she's dreamt of this day her entire life, like any girl would, with every detail picked out & curated. Her gorgeous day consisted of lace, pearls, pops of sparkle and lots of blush hues. Set against the rustic barns and darling twinkle lights of her venue, the entire feel was very down-to-earth and blissful. Simple rustic elegance, with bits of glam for a twist. The entire place complemented her look and vice versa. So perfect, down to every last touch.
I really got to spend lots of time with Laish, so I decided that I would blog her wedding, part by part. Preparation & bridal shots will be first - ladies first! :)
